STUCK on Day 7!!! HELPPPP!!!

I seriously am stuck on DAY 7 in Hoburbia!
I am playing by myself, and anyone I have politely asked to even point me in a direction, I have been told off in rude language or not answered at all.
So I am hoping someone will be kind enough as I have Left Grandpa Joe in a Sleeping coma on Day 7 for over a week!!
I dont know what I am NOT doing?
I havent been able to figure out how one gets any feathers to use in the lifting machine?
I read try to catch a pigeon in the park
I dont have a clue what that meant, the only choices in the park is to chase a winged rat, and then be told in text that you need something to lure it???
I have opened the Green sewer door, found a map, that I could not pick up, cos I didnt have an ATLAS?
I simply dont know where to go from here.
ANY even partial suggestion will be so appreciated.

I had found a Claw guide for the eggs..
It worked for a few days now NOTHING is that usual?

first of all the winged rat is exactly what you are looking for. you need to have a "piece of bread" in your trolly which can be bought at walmart.

oh and egg guides are usually on the adventure board

I so appreciate the effort taken to point me in right direction.
As I said, the majority of the players that I have just observed not even attempted to communicate with are most rude and ill mannered.
